BLACKBURN Rovers keeper Alan Kelly today warned his Ewood team-mates they could fall flat on their faces if they're expecting an easy ride at Stockport's Edgeley Park tomorrow.

Graeme Souness's promotion chasers kick-off a massive Bank Holiday double-header against struggling County before Huddersfield then visit Ewood on Monday.

But, though Andy Kilner's men are currently scrapping for their lives at the wrong end of the table, Kelly insists Rovers will underestimate them at their peril after spending a recent spell there on loan.

"I'm positive Blackburn will get promoted because they are in awesome form right now," said Kelly.

"But Stockport are going to make it extremely difficult for us tomorrow -- make no mistake about that.

"There's no way they will roll over and die because they are playing out of their skins at the moment.

"They are battling like lions to avoid relegation and Rovers will have to watch out.

"Their workrate is amazing and Andy Kilner has bonded a great team spirit there.

"They are all playing for their futures and their livelihoods so they'll be desperate to beat us. My old club Sheffield United made it really difficult for us last week and I think it's going to be a similar sort of game tomorrow.

"They never let teams settle for a second and we'll have to match them physically if we are going to win the game." County may be struggling at the wrong end of the table but they've taken points off every other team in the top five apart from Rovers.

And Kelly has warned Rovers need to keep a tight rein on strikers Shefki Kuqi and Aaron Wilbraham if they are to come away with the points.

"The two lads upfront are both going to be a real threat because I was really impressed with them during my time there.

"Kuqi in particular looked a real handful because he's exceptional in the air.

"Every time I banged a ball up to him he'd win it nine times out of 10 so he's going to need to be watched at set-pieces."

Rovers boss Graeme Souness is certainly under no illusions about what to expect at Edgeley Park, despite County's precarious league position.

"Edgeley Park is a tight, intimidating venue and they'll be up for it," said Souness.

"They are scrapping for their lives but we can only play one way which is to go out and try and win the game from the start.

"We've had them watched several times and they like to get the ball into the box at every opportunity.

"But we feel we have the defenders to cope with that."

Souness will be without Damien Duff, who looks set to miss the rest of the season after damaging his hamstring against Fulham. But the Ewood chief reports no other injury worries ahead of the Bank Holiday double-header.

Rovers are likely to choose from: Friedel, Curtis, Berg, Short, Flitcroft, Dunn, Mahon, Gillespie, Berkovic, Jansen, Bent, Hughes, Hignett, Bjornebye, Taylor, Johnson, McAteer, Keller, Filan.

Meanwhile, County boss Andy Kilner is sweating on the fitness of goalkeepers Andy Dibble and Lee Jones who are both nursing calf injuries.

Veteran stopper Mike Flynn is also nursing a dead leg but should be fit to take his place in the centre of defence.

Stockport are likely to choose from: Jones, Flynn, Nicholson, Wiss, Fradin, Roget, Gibb, Clare, Hurst, Wilbraham, Kuqi, Clark, Carrigan, Woodthorpe, Bergersen, Dibble.

Rovers trio Alan Kelly, Jason McAteer and Damien Duff have all been named in Mick McCarthy's Republic of Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifier with Andorra on April 25.

However, Duff is likely to withdraw in the next 24 hours after suffering his latest injury blow.
