PLANS to turn a double garage in Hindley into residential accommodation have been given the go-ahead by councillors -- subject to a number of conditions.
Under proposals the garage in Harper Street will become full-time living quarters for the disabled owner's carer.
Councillors also agreed plans to extend the adjoining detached house which will be linked by a porch to the new building.
Planners ruled any changes would have to match the colour and texture of surrounding properties.
