A GOLBORNE woman has turned her summer house into a holistic and sports therapy practice.
Barbara Bound began treating clients with aromatherapy, reflexology, remedial massage, Indian head massage and sports therapy in the garden of her home in January.
But Barbara, 50, who teaches reflexology part-time at college, promises there will be native American medicine but definitely no rain dances in the garden of her Harvey Lane semi.
This week Barbara, who got planning approval for her project, said: "I do Indian head massage which is a treatment of the upper arms and face. It relaxes you and helps treat insomnia."
She also offers an ancient native American therapy called hopi ear candling which involves a special funnel being stuck into the ear. Essential oils and herbs are diffused into the ear.
Barbara said: "It does sound funny but it clears ear wax and sinus problems."
She does not foresee her practice causing any disturbance for her neighbours.
"People come to me to relax and escape from the stress and strain of their lives. I do play music to relax them, but its more likely to be Mozart than Meatloaf."
