I WOULD like to thank all of the families in the Bury area who recently opened their homes to Americans from Woodbury.
My wife, son and myself had a marvellous time. The rolling hills surrounding the Bury area are breathtaking. All of the people that we came into contact with were very friendly and polite.
I would like to especially thank councillors Bob Bibby and Jim Taylor for their gracious hospitality and also Melvin Magnall and the Twinning committee. I loved England, it is a great country: except for the weather! And the beer tastes much better in England than in the United States.
THOMAS JAMES STONE,
