A DISGUSTING benefits cheat was rumbled when he turned up at a job centre in his £40,000 Merc.
Paul Gooderson falsely claimed £130,000 after turning down jobs using the excuse that he couldn't drive.
Investigators discovered he lived in a £350,000 house in the country, owned a fleet of posh cars and holidayed in the Virgin Islands and New Zealand.
The 53-year-old father of three ran a computer design company and had lucrative contracts.
But the cheeky so and so was claiming £26,000 a year in income support, family benefits and job seekers' allowance.
He was jailed for two years after being convicted of benefit fraud and his home may now be confiscated.
There should be no may about it.
The sentence is also light for someone who has robbed hard-working taxpayers blind.
What baffles me is how anyone can be paid so much in benefits. Some people have to work their socks off to earn less than a third of that.
There's something wrong somewhere.
