CLITHEROE Town council's annual Mayor Making and meeting is to be held on Tuesday May 1, in the Ribble Valley Civic Suite, Church Street, beginning at 11.45am.
The itinerary for the day starts off with councillors meeting at the town hall for coffee at 11am.
At 11.20 the group will process to the civic suite via Church Street, York Street, Well Terrace and Church Brow, before arriving back at Church Street for the 11.45am ceremony and meeting.
The ceremony will see Coun Mary Robinson appointed Mayor for the ensuing year with present Mayor Coun Alan Yearing appointed deputy.
At 12.45pm, the procession led by police horses, halderdiers and the Town Sergeant will set off once again taking in Church Street, Wellgate, Lowergate, King Lane, Market Place and back to Church Street to the parish hall.
