THE lights on the new crossing on Buncer Lane, Blackburn, are at last operational, allowing pupils of Witton School to cross the road safely.
So why are they not using it?
Trying to drive along Buncer Lane, I found hundreds of pupils in the middle of the road running between spaces in the traffic -- not one on the new crossing and not a cycle in sight on the new cycle route.
