SEDGLEY Park Rugby Union Club tackle Cornish outfit Launceston at Park Lane tomorrow in what is undoubtedly the most important game in the club's 68-year history.

The reward for winning is promotion to National League Division Two alongside the likes of Orrell, Waterloo, Fylde and Rosslyn Park.

Sedgley player coach Colin Stephens reports no injury worries -- apart from a bit of earache from new wife Joanne after postponing their honeymoon until after the big game!

Skipper Cris Raducanu was also due to fly in from Florida tonight after splitting his holiday into two parts so he too can play in the big game.

Sedgley can call on four players with international experience for the game, which kicks off at 3pm. Raducanu played for Romania and was the youngest player ever to appear in the World Cup, while stand-off Stephens has half a dozen Welsh caps.

Centre Jon Scales has represented Great Britain at rugby league, and player-coach Tim Fourie has played for South Africa in the 13-a-side game.

Sedgley will be without Rob Moon and Steve Byford, who are away in Africa, while big forward Andy Kimmins battle to comeback from a dislocated shoulder he sustained just a few weeks ago has been lost.

"He was hoping to make it, but at the moment he said he would just be a hindrance, so he will miss out," said club spokesman John Lawrence.

Launceston are described as an "upwardly mobile" club and are going for their second promotion in successive seasons after moving into National League Divison Three (South) at the beginning of this season. Six of their side have played for Cornwall and they will also be boosted by the inclusion of Samoan centre Mark Fatilofa, who escaped a ban after appearing before the Rugby Union disciplinary committee on Wednesday night.

Lofa had picked up three yellow cards, but the RFU decided to lift the last one after Launceston appealed, leaving the Samoan free to play against Sedgley.

"Their a good team and like us they will be at full strength, so we won't be taking them lightly," said Stephens.

"We trained on Tuesday and Thursday night and the lads can't wait. They are all fired up for the game.

"I got married last wekend in Morley, which was always going to be the wedding day, but the honeymoon has had to be delayed a week," said Stephens.

"I should be in Jamaica right now, but instead I'm in sunny Sedgley. We are going on Monday instead, so it's all worked out all right -- though my missus, Joanne, didn't quite see it like that, as you can imagine!"

The game is a one-off, winner takes all affair, Sedgley gaining home advantage by having a better league record in Division Three (North) than Launceston in the Southern section.

Sedgley's Park Lane ground has a capacity of 3,000 and club officials are hoping for a crowd of around 1,500 tomorrow. Admission is £5 for adults, with everyone else free.
