BILBO Baggins will once again make Blackpool Grand Theatre one of the stops on his marvellous magical journey in The Hobbit due to overwhelming popular demand.
The best-selling children's fantasy novel from J R Tolkein has been transformed from page to play thanks to Vanessa Ford Productions exclusively winning the rights the re-create this powerful adventure story.
A firm family favourite, The Hobbit has sold more than 35 millon copies worldwide and been translated into 25 languages.
Glynn Robbins has cleverly tailored the tale of Bilbo joining with Gandalf the sorcerer and his dwarf companions in an imaginative stage adaptation directed by former actor Roy Marsden of Inspector Dalgleish fame.
With the aid of magic and illusion, audiences will follow brave Bilbo and friends as they climb the Misty Mountains and battle with terrible trolls, gruesome goblins, wild wolves and giant spiders to face Smaug, the most magnificent dragon of them all, and snatch his beloved treasure.
The Hobbit drops into Blackpool Grand Theatre from May 30 to June 3 with matinee and evening performances at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. For tickets from £9 call the box office on (01253) 290190.
