RA"AIDERS were foiled in a bid to smash their way into a Prestwich post office.
They reversed a Mitsubishi Shogun at high speed into a wall at the rear of the Postbox premises in Bury New Road, Sedgley Park.
However, the wall remained intact and the three men ran to a nearby dark green Rover which sped off.
Police say the driver of the getaway car was in his late teens and was wearing a dark sports jacket and a hood. One of the two passengers was wearing a yellow jacket.
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at 10.45am on Monday (May 21), is asked to ring Bury police 856 8157.
