A THIEF stole a woman's bag as she sat inside her car.
The man opened the passenger door of the 39-year-old woman's car while she was stationary in Danesway, Prestwich.
He grabbed her shopping bag before sprinting to a grey-coloured BMW car nearby, driven by a second man. This car was later found abandoned a short distance away.
Police say the contents of the bag, which included a mobile phone, amounted to £120.
The thief is described as being aged around 19, 5ft 6ins tall, medium build and wearing a blue sweatshirt with a hood.
The theft happened on Thursday (May 17) and police investigations are continuing.
