POLICE are anxious to talk to a driver whose car was overtaken by a Vauxhall Astra seconds before it crashed.
The white-coloured Astra left the road and ploughed into a fence and shrubbery at the junction of New Road and Stand Lane, Radcliffe.
Officers said the male driver of the Astra fled from the scene. Two passengers, including a female who sustained a bruised hip, were also in the car.
Now, police want to talk to the driver of a car who was overtaken by the Astra shortly before the accident.
The collision happened at 12.30am on Friday (May 18). The driver of the car in question is asked to ring PC Janice Halton at Bury police divisional traffic unit on 856 8073.
