LEG one of Leigh Centurions' treble chance should be completed on Sunday - and the whole town is invited to join the party.

Victory over basement-dwellers Chorley Lynx at Hilton Park will secure the Northern Ford Premiership Minor Premiership - with an astonishing FOUR games to spare.

And if they score 57 points or more, Leigh will become one of the few teams to have ever scored 1000 league points in a season.

Rugby League bosses and Northern Ford representatives will formally hand over the trophy at the end of the game, ending an 11-year drought of silverware for Leigh.

Styled on the Super League Grand Final presentation, a small stage will be moved onto the centre of the pitch for the formal handing over of the trophy from Steve Russell of sponsors Northern Ford and John Huxley of the Rugby League.

Then it's party time!

The entire first team squad, led by head coach Paul Terzis will set off on a celebratory lap of honour.

"It's an invitation to the entire town to come down to Hilton Park, take in the match and stay with us to celebrate finishing top of the Northern Ford Premiership.

"We're trying to attract a bumper crowd and to make the day special we'll be pushing the boat out a bit regarding the trophy presentation. To help swell the attendance we've given out something like 1000 complimentary tickets to local schools this week."

The party theme is taken up by Terzis. "It's not just a time for the players, it's a time for the fans. They've been a huge help to us this season and we want them to share in the spoils of victory."

But the partying won't last too long for the players with the Trans-Pennine Trophy final at Keighley looming up on Wednesday.

"I'll allow the players a beer or two on Sunday, but not too many because we've another job to do on Wednesday at Cougar Park.

"It's Leg Two of the treble and we want all three. We've not come this far to fail now.

"OK Keighley may have lost many of their squad because of financial difficulties, but remember that this is their Grand Final now, they'll be out to knock us over and we've got to be ready for that."

Terzis won't be holding back in his team selections for either games. "Two strong teams will be out against Chorley and Keighley, I can guarantee that."

Tim Street (medial knee ligament strain) and Simon Svabic (knee) are both doubts for Sunday while Andy Leathem again sits it out after being badly concussed at Barrow.

Dave Ingram (thigh), Simon Baldwin (thumb) and Paul Anderson (groin) have all been under treatment this week and will need fitness checks but Neil Turley and Willie Swann will be back.
