A DISABLED woman suffered a terrifying ordeal at the hands of two men at her flat in Morecambe on Monday.
The 37-year-old woman was watching television in the bedroom after her district nurse left when the two man walked in through an unlocked door of her home at Old Market Street, between 11.20 am and 11.45 am.
At first, they asked her to buy some meat from them but, after a time, their tone became more aggressive and they demanded money from her.
They put a jumper around her neck and threatened her with physical violence unless she handed over cash.
The pair eventually left with £180 in cash and personal documents, including the woman's driving licence and birth certificate.
Police spokesman Det Sgt Mark Salisbury said: "Although this woman was not injured physically she was extremely frightened by what had happened to her and was shocked that something like this has happened in her own home."
The first man was described as white, 5ft tall with short, blonde hair, wearing a blue denim jacket and jeans, in his thirties with a local accent.
The second man is also white, 5ft tall, with short, blonde hair, wearing jeans, a light coloured short sleeved shirt or teeshirt, in his late thirties, with a scottish accent.
