A PENSIONER who went missing from home was today recovering after turning up safe and well.
Audrey Lloyd, 80, of Riverside Court, Sawley, was last seen at 12.45 yesterday and a major police search was launched.
Efforts, which included use of the force helicopter, were hampered by the foot and mouth disease which restricted movements.
The search was called off overnight and resumed early this morning when Mrs Lloyd was found near her home by officers.
Inspector Bob Ford, of Clitheroe Police, said Mrs Lloyd was being cared for by relatives at her home and inquiries were continuing to establish where she had spent the night.
