SUTTON Community High School's Alan Metcalfe has been named as National Basketball Player of the Year by England Cadet Men's under 16.
Alan, who is now having trials for England under-18s and also plays for Trafford Boys, measures up at a towering 6ft 9 inches.
He is currently looking for sponsorship and anyone who can help can contact the school on 810011.
