AFTER going through a rigorous selection process, 13-year-old Laura Heyes from the St Helens Rhythmic Gymnastics Club has been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Championship in Geneva next month.
Laura's coach Liz Pryor is delighted with her selection and said: "Laura has put 110 per cent effort into her training and now her commitment and passion for the sport has paid off."
Iris Critchley, a coach and judge at St Helens RGC, will travel to Geneva with Laura as the official GB judge.
Meanwhile, rhythmic gymnast Kayleigh Salisbury, aged 12, from St Cuthbert's High School, Sutton has been selected to represent Great Britain at an international competition in Bulgaria on May 31.
