SUN-SEEKERS have been warned not to swim in reservoirs around Leigh this Bank Holiday.
Bosses at water company United Utilities say sunbathers risk their lives by plunging into icy water as summer temperatures rise.
Health and safety advisor Peter Bradley said that low water temperatures can cause muscles to freeze, resulting in swimmers drowning.
