AN action group to fight crime in the middle Valley section of Rossendale is to hold a public meeting to attract more members.
The group covers from Cowpe, through Waterfoot up to Water and from Newchurch to Edgeside where 100 car tyres were slashed by a vandal on a wrecking spree round the estate.
Member Rachel Minshull said: "We held a meeting on Wednesday and got a few new residents coming along but we are going to organise another and this time it will be an open public meeting.
"The police are going to put up posters for the meeting and we hope to hold it later in June."
