NELSON Chairman Albert Barnes has announced his retirement from the Board of Directors stating his wish to relax and spend more time with his family.
After 24 years of long service -- and the last three years as Chairman -- he felt that he has done as much as he could to ensure the continuation and success of the club.
He wishes to thank all those people who have assisted him over the years and looks forward to seeing them at Victoria Park next season where he will be continuing his support as a spectator.
The Board also welcome a new director Mr Alan Pickering, who many people will be familiar with, as he has been closely connected with the club for many years in various capacities.
The Board at Nelson FC would like to thank everybody who has sponsored and assisted the club this season and hope they will support and assist us in the next season where we hope we can attain promotion.
