HOW CAN Fylde Borough Council allow desecration of one of the most important buildings in St Annes -- Queen Mary's School.
It is a personal insult to our Royal Family, who allowed the building to have the name of one of the world's well known, well loved queens, Queen Mary.
The building is an example of architecture in the great manner of that period. Big business should not be allowed to deprive ratepayers of this jewel.
I would be interested to know if the parents have been approached, or are they only interested in new for the sake of new? If so, they, the parents, are removing the heritage of future children.
Not having children, I do not have a vested interest. I love the expertise and beauty created by more knowledgeable architects and builders than we have today.
