PUPILS at Sutton Oak C.E. Primary School in Marshalls Cross have been reading up on how to raise money.
Children at the school took part in a three-week 'Readathon' and raised a staggering £900 which will be spent on the school itself.
All age groups were sponsored to read each night after school and watchful parents signed forms to say they had completed their task.
Mark Thomas, headteacher at the school, said that he is delighted with the success of the scheme. "It was wonderful to raise so much money in such a beneficial way. The scheme has also worked to improve the standard of reading within the school".
