YOUNG sailing enthusiasts are coasting to a brighter future thanks to one of the East Lancashire's best-known firms.
For officials at the Lancashire Schools Sailing Association have taken a delivery of 10 new buoyancy aids following a donation from Thwaites Brewery's renowned Charitable Trust Fund. "To receive a new batch of buoyancy aids is wonderful news," says Marjorie McNichol, the LSSA's membership secretary. "Our society exists to provide sailing for youngsters across the county and help like this is invaluable." The society meets every Sunday afternoon at Fishmoor Reservoir, Blackburn.
