A WOMAN was cut free from her car following a collision with a skip lorry yesterday.
Police said the Audi Estate, driven by Lesley Jane Guilbert, of Lancaster, collided with the 7.5 tonne Mercedes truck on the A682 Long Preston Road in Gisburn.
They said the Audi was travelling toward Gisburn when the 51-year-old driver crossed to the other side of the road while taking a left hand bend.
The collision caused the van to overturn, trapping Mrs Guilbert.
Fire crews from Clitheroe and Barnoldswick attended and used cutting equipment to free her. She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital suffering from multiple fractures to her leg. The driver of the van was unhurt.
Police closed the road for three hours.
