IN his remarks about car parking in Darwen (Letters, May 18), Coun Kevin Connor points out that to charge for it would ultimately drive people away.
He then goes on to say that the development of Blackburn centre would benefit everyone.
The point of not charging for car parking in Darwen is the hope that more shops will open and more people will support Darwen shopkeepers -- and not to drive everyone into Blackburn.
