TWO trophies in four days won't be enough to quench Leigh Centurions' thirst for more honours.

With the NFP Minor Premiership and now the Trans-Pennine Trophy safely locked away, the Centurions will now turn their attentions to winning the Grand Final on July 28.

While they are rightly enjoying their moment of glory, Leigh know that the major prize still awaits.

"Everything we've done this season has been geared to reaching the Grand Final and winning it," says coach Paul Terzis. "The Minor Premiership and Trans-Pennine are bonuses along the way.

Season complete

"Nothing less than success in the Grand Final will make our season complete," he added.

Terzis and his team dedicated their cup success over Keighley on Wednesday night to their travelling army of fans - an estimated 1600 making the trip to Cougar Park to turn the Keighley fortress into a mini Hilton Park for the night.

"The fans were awesome," says Terzis. "To see so many of them over at Keighley was an inspiration to all the players. We owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude.

"The fans have been brilliant all season but to see so many make a big effort to get over there on Wednesday was a testament to the passion they have for this club and their town.

"They deserve this silverware just as much as the players do."

The players will now take advantage of their bye this weekend to take a couple of days off and celebrate their double success. Then it's back to business on Monday as they start their final preparations for the end of season run-in and play-offs.
