FOUR people were taken to Burnley General Hospital but not detained when two cars collided outside the Park View pub, near Higgin Street.
A Vauxhall Corsa was being driven by Teresa Duffy, 27, of Wycoller Avenue, and the Ford Escort was being driven by Stephen Kershaw, 41, of Burnley Road, Cliviger. Both suffered shock but were not injured.
Passengers in the Escort were Alison Docherty, 36, of Carholme Avenue, who suffered a cut leg, and her son Benjamin Docherty, 12, who suffered a bump to the head.
