BLACKBURN-BASED Cavalier Carpets has strengthened its management team, with the appointment of Rob Load as operations director.
A self-confessed cricket fanatic, Rob, 40, played for the second XI in his native Gloucestershire and also enjoyed success with Scholes CC in the Huddersfield League.
"I have experience of the trade from both sides and I can see genuine opportunity here at Cavalier," said Rob.
"We have a good retail base and I believe the trade has turned the corner. Cavalier Carpets are a leading player and times are exciting."
Cavalier's managing director James Sprint, said: "Rob will be responsible for all aspects of the business.
"I am certain that his knowledge, experience, abilities and character will assist us to manufacture and despatch continuously improving products at higher quality levels."
