CORONATION Street star Vicky Entwistle, who plays Janice Battersby, opened Mayes Business Partnership's new Accrington offices and was introduced to Tom the cat -- the company's latest recruit.
While the offices were being extended, Tom sneaked in through a broken basement window and took over the accountant and business support company, winning over all of the employees with his feline charm.
The new offices are a major investment for the company, which provides a wide range of business support services including profit improvement and business growth strategies in addition to accountancy and tax work for small and medium sized business.
And as a client of the company Vicky was asked to do the honours and open the extended offices, which have doubled in size, and officially make Tom a member of the team.
Norman Snodgrass, a director of the company, said: "Tom has adopted us and he is definitely the boss. He has a terrific personality and is friends with everyone. We couldn't be without."
