A DOZEN East Lancashire volunteer groups assembled in Clitheroe for the annual volunteers fair to dish out information and recruit new volunteers.

The event, at Parish Hall, Church Street, was filled with stalls from various groups, including the Scouts, Red Cross, and St John's Ambulance, selling goods to raise funds and educating people about their organisations.

One group was the Jigsaw Pantry, currently based at the New Era centre, Accrington, which trains people with learning difficulties in catering retail. The organisation, which will open a new shop at the end of June in Moor Lane, Clitheroe, specialises in organic food, including bread, pizza, quiche and vegetables which were sampled at the fair.
