MORE than 400 people pounded the streets of St Helens in the third Corporate Cup race.

Organised by St Helens Council, in conjunction with St Helens and Knowsley Health Authority, the event attracted a wide range of teams including, fresh from the London Marathon, the Realrunners.com.rhinos who completed the 3.1 mile town-centre course in under half-an-hour dressed as rhinos.

The Corporate Cup promotes teamwork, health and fitness and gives four-strong teams of runners and walkers the chance to raise money for the charity of their choice.

First past the finishing post this year was Nathan Vengdasalam, of Low Cost Cakes, who recorded a time of 15 mins 1 sec. His colleague Jenny Clague, also of Low Cost Lakes, was the first lady home in 17 mins 35 secs.
