AS a local employee of the 'world's local brewer,' Interbrew, I think I know why Blackburn with Darwen Council is not supporting local brewer Thwaites (LET, May 29).
Could it possibly be something to do with the range of beers and lagers offered by those who have tendered for this three-year contract?
Whitbread Beer Company is now owned by Interbrew and is known as Interbrew UK and they still employ local people. So why is my employer being slighted as a European company losing jobs for local industry?
