AN inquest has opened into the death of a respected church worker and school crossing patrol warden found hanged at her home in Ramsbottom.
The body of Mrs Maureen Gwyneth Milner (56), of Cotswold Close, was discovered on May 24.
Evidence of identification was given to Deputy Bury District Coroner Mr Matthew Cox by Mrs Milner's husband, local government officer Mr Roy Milner.
Police investigating the incident ruled out foul play or third party involvement. A post mortem has been carried out on Mrs Milner, who was well-known for her dedicated work at St Andrew's Church and as a crossing patrol warden at St Andrew's Primary School in Ramsbottom.
The coroner adjourned Friday's (June 1) hearing for submission of a medical report and results of further inquiries.
