ADVICE to help carers will be within shopping distance in Bury town centre next week.
A series of information events will be staged in the Millgate Shopping Centre throughout the week, supervised by the Carers Partnership, which is based at Seedfield Resource Centre in Bury.
Staff will be on hand all week to give out information and advice for carers and make available a new "Breaks for Carers" brochure.
The information stand will be set up near to the River Island store from Monday (June 11) to Friday (June 15) as part of Carers Week 2001.
On Tuesday, training, employment opportunities, careers advice and benefits will be available.
Wednesday will be dedicated to the needs of carers under the age of 18, when workers from the Partnership's Bury Young Carers Project will be staffing the stand.
Thursday will see the spotlight thrown on the work of Social Services and Services for the Ethnic Minorities.
Anyone caring for someone with an illness or disability who could not manage without their help, and needs advice, can contact the Carers Partnership Office on 253 6903.
