UP to 80 children from Woodfield Nursery in Brierfield worked with Trawden artist Paul Hartley to create artwork for their 50th anniversary celebrations.
Paul spent two hours with both the morning and afternoon groups and showed them how to use polystyrene tiles as printing blocks.
Headteacher Sue Boardman said: "It went really well. Both the children and the staff enjoyed themselves.
"Paul is going to take the children's art work to a company which scans it into a computer and then transposes it on to a plastic 10ft by 3ft banner which will be waterproof."
The event was just one of the many projects being carried out at the nursery leading up to its 50th anniversary on June 30.
