GOLBORNE completed a 147-run romp at Astley and Tyldesley on Sunday to reach the Cross Cup semi-finals.
Chris Benbow's 84 plus Ian Seddon's 66 enabled Golborne to reach a 231-7 total, Astley and Tyldesley's only success coming with the bowling figures of 3-14 from Paul Finch and 2-24 by David Hughes.
In response A & T were bowled out for 84, Jim Cutt providing 41 of those runs while man of the match Benbow fllowed up his batting success with bowling figures of 5-11 off seven overs.
Pro Ian Critchley played a dominant role in the three wicket league win at Daisy Hill on Saturday.
First he took 3-11 which along with Dave Roberts's 3-44 saw the home side reduced to 105, Steve Hodgkinson 26 and John Hopkins 21
His innings of 31 then proved to be the backbone of his side's reply although Daisy pro Chris Jones did his best to contain Golborne with figures of 5-59.
