AN Old English Country Garden Party in Colne this weekend has proved so popular that a stone wall between the two host houses will be knocked down to fit everyone in.
The event is tomorrow at the neighbouring homes of two of Colne Noyna's Rotarians, Mike Riley and Peter Catlow, in Hill Lane.
It has already sold out and in order to make more room, the pair are preparing to demolish their adjoining wall and rebuild it afterwards.
The funds raised at the garden party will be shared equally by the Cancer Research Campaign and other charities supported by the Rotary Club.
On display at the event will be a 1934 Austin Light 12/4 automobile in which the club's president, Victor Lupton, will travel to Biarritz this summer.
