LAURA Bailey has the perfect solution for filling empty hours - volunteering!
The Clitheroe widow has clocked up 200 hours of voluntary work in the past three months and is being hailed as an example to others who might fancy doing the same.
Laura told of her success to held promote National Volunteering Week, being coordinated locally by the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Volunteering Development Project.
Laura currently helps a playgroup, Oxfam and Clitheroe's cinema. She also lends a hand with children from Chernobyl when they visit. She said: "It gives me a reason to get up, I meet new people and learn new skills while helping people."
