FIREFIGHTERS in Burnley have issued another warning about the need for smoke alarms after a fire in a kitchen in Every Street on Saturday.
The grill pan set on fire at 7.25pm and was confined to the cooker .
Station officer Brian Rees said: "They didn't have a smoke alarm which would have alerted them earlier. The fire service will do home fire safety checks and as part of that check, if people do not have a smoke alarm we will fit one for them."
