JANET and Peter Rydings are soon to pull their last pints after almost 10 years in the Warners Arms, Accrington.
The couple, pictured, moved into the Warner Street pub in December 1991 and have over watched many changes to the pub itself and Accrington centre.
When the neighbouring premises, formerly Bodylines and Greenwoods, came up for grabs they were snapped up and converted into Next Door which is now the Sports Bar for major sports events and private functions. But the opening of more and more bars in the town centre and late licences has diminished its early success.
The couple will stay until early next month while their daughter Laura, 18, takes her A levels at Accrington and Rossendale College and then they will enjoy a two month break recharging their batteries and enjoying some trips away before taking over a new pub in September.
