WORKERS in Greater Manchester are still not getting their rights to paid holidays, a report from the GM Low Pay Unit has discovered.
High levels of inquiries about holiday entitlement has shown many employers are either unaware of the right to paid holidays, or are deliberately ignoring workers' statutory rights. As long as you have worked 13 weeks or more, you are entitled to at least four weeks paid holiday in a holiday-year period, and terms should be included in your conditions of employment. Workers and employers can can get more information by phoning the Low Pay Unit on 0161 953 4024, or can visit the website on www.lowpaymcr.cjb.net
