OFFICE furniture specialist Senator International has turned to the East in a drive to boost productivity and competitiveness.
The company is introducing Japanese manufacturing techniques at its modern factory at the Altham Business Park in Accrington.
Spearheading the process is process improvement ngineer Dave Cullis.
He has joined the company from Futaba Tenneco, the Burnley-based exhaust manufacturer.
Mr Cullis has more than 10 years' experience of lean manufacturing methods, which aim to eliminate waste from the production process.
