RAMBLERS won their fight to keep a beauty spot bridleway open for walkers.
A local landowner had wanted a two-and-a-half mile stretch of the Ribble Way at Sawley wiped from the footpath map.
But a five-year wrangle ended when county councillors agreed the path from the drive of Sawley Lodge to Steep Ford Wood should remain open.
