BLACKBURN new-boy Corrado Grabbi will take the Premiership by storm following his big money move to Ewood Park, say the Italian press.

That's the view of Italian journalist Guglielmo Longhi, who works for the Gazetta Dello Sport, after speaking exclusively to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

Longhi has charted the 25-year-old striker's progress since he first burst onto the scene as a fresh-faced teenager with Juventus.

And he has no doubts at all that the former Ternana hit-man could yet turn out to be one of the bargains of the summer following his £6.75 million arrival in England.

"The money Blackburn have paid is certainly a lot for a Serie B player but I think he's worth it," said Longhi.

"I saw him play personally a couple of times last season and he looked a very good player.

"He's very strong, he can use both feet, and he's got good ability in the air as well.

"So he was definitely one of the best in Italy outside of Serie A and he showed a great deal of promise when he first started out with Juventus.

"He had the chance to return to Juve but then decided to go to Blackburn at the last minute, which surprised a lot of journalists over here.

"But I think it could turn out to be a good move for him.

"I think he'll do very well for Blackburn because he's a very talented forward.

"I don't know how quickly he'll adapt to English football but he's got good movement and he's very much a team player.

'He was certainly well regarded back here in Italy."
