ORGANISERS of an annual photographic competition were inundated with entries as the winners were announced at a special ceremony.
More than 80 people took part in the Darwen Civic Society photographic contest.
The winners were presented with their awards by Blackburn with Darwen mayor Jack Bury, at a presentation evening in the exhibition room at Darwen Library.
The theme for this year's competition was the windows and doors of Darwen and all competition showpieces will be on display at the library until July 7.
Winner of the adult section was Graham Dean, with an exhibit called 'Edwardian Window', Amanda Bentley took first place in the 11 - 16 year-old category with 'Tockholes Chapel' and the Under 11 winner was Joshua Eastham with 'A House in Hoddlesden'.
The Rev Geoff Tolley said: "Many thanks to the 82 entrants who have once again made this event so successful. I'm sorry we could not award everyone a prize."
