THE Eurofighter project, on which thousands of East Lancashire engineering jobs depend, has completed another major milestone in its development.
BAE SYSTEMS has successfully tested its advanced missile systems during weapons trials in southern Sardinia.
The Eurofighter Typhoon, part of which is built at Samlesbury and Warton, was one of the stars at the Paris Airshow where it made daily flight displays.
Eurofighter managing director Ross Bradley said the missile testing on one of the Italian-based development aircraft had gone well -- an important milestone.
