MEMBERS of the Darwen-based Mid-Lancashire Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, have donated a hand-made banner to the New Methodist Church, in Blackburn Road, Darwen.
They have spent the last 12 months making the showpiece, which measures 6ft by 8ft, as a celebration of the Millennium.
It was presented to chuch representatives at a special service on Sunday as a thank-you for the use of their building over the last year.
The banner is now expected to remain on display at the church.
