A BURY woman escaped with minor injuries after a road accident in which a man had to be freed from the wreckage.
Janet Bland, aged 38, of Hornsea Close, Lowercroft, suffered whiplash and cuts to her legs and arms in the collision just before 9.30pm yesterday in Blackley.
Her Toyota Carina was in collision with an Austin Metro being driven by Steven Hall, aged 33, of Miles Platting, in Middleton Old Road.
Mr Hall suffered head, chest and leg injuries and was detained in North Manchester General Hospital in a serious condition.
