STUDENTS in the Bury area are being urged to take advantage of extra cash to aid their studies.
Applications are now been sought for grants to be paid out of two Trust funds established to support students in school, college or university.
The first, the British Cotton Growers Association Ramsbottom Local Fund is able to offer small sums to students, on condition they live in Ramsbottom, are under 25-year-old and attend school, college or university.
Studying
The second, the John Kay Memorial Fund, gives grants to students who live anywhere in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, who are former students of Bury College and now attend Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
Preference will be given to those studying engineering, textile or associated subjects.
Applications need to be submitted on completed forms by Friday 13 July, 2001.
