WELL done the Friends of Sunnyhurst Woods and all concerned with the gala held on Sunday. It was lovely to see the woods so full of people, all having a happy time.
And what a treat to hear the Darwen Brass Band -- they played for two and a half hours with scarcely a break. To be able to just sit and listen to good music was a real pleasure.
Darwen can be justly proud of its band.
